Social Card Studio generates a branded OG image for every blog post — automatically, at request time. The endpoint always returns an image, so your og:image tag will never point to a broken URL.
X-SCS-Reason reference
The endpoint always returns an image. To understand what happened during a render, inspect the X-SCS-Reason response header. For any value other than ok, check your dashboard for details.
| Reason | What it means | Fix |
|---|---|---|
ok | Card rendered successfully | No action needed |
over-quota | You've used all renders for this month | Upgrade your plan or wait for the monthly reset |
token-revoked | This API token has been revoked | Generate a new token in the dashboard |
kit-paused | Your brand kit is paused | Resume the kit in dashboard > Kits |
rate-limited | Too many requests from this IP | Slow down requests or contact support |
template-unknown | The template= parameter value is not recognized | Use 'verso', 'dispatch', or 'margin' |
origin-blocked | This request came from an origin not on your allowlist | Add the domain to your kit's origin allowlist |
title-rejected | The title contains blocked content | Change the post title or contact support |
render-error | Card rendering failed | Check your brand kit logo URL is accessible |
